Man is supposed to get vasectomy. Man doesn't want it, doesn't get it.
Wife gets pregnant, or otherwise learns he didn't do it and is furious.
People, people, people.
How could she not know her husband didn't get the procedure done?
Vasectomy's are not something a man can go into an office and have done and go back to work like they'd gone in for a mere physical. There is pain, swelling, warm baths, ice packs and lots of laying around on the couch whinning. They can't wear underwear or jeans without excruciating pain.
And after a period, they have to have a sperm count done to make sure he's not producing.
I'm no doctor, but my husband has been through this as has several of my male friends.
I can't say it enough - RESEARCH - the internet makes it so easy. There's no excuse.
Back in 1989, I read a romance novel where the author had put in that once a woman has a tubaligation, it's permanent, can't be undone. I was in my third trimester with my third son after having my tubaligation reversed six months before I conceived him. The misinformation the author put out there made me mad.

Even New York Bestsellers need to do their research.
I started reading Nora Roberts 'Black Hills' the other day and right off the bat, new she hadn't done proper research.
There are no Moose in the Black Hills. At first, I thought maybe she meant Elk, but then she refers to both.
I was astonished that there's no mention of pronghorn, commonly known as antelope. This book starts out in 1989, we lived there from 1986-1994 - antelope was everywhere and in great numbers. As they were when we returned for a visit a few years ago.
I love Nora, she's been my inspiration for so long. I am rather disappointed with her books of late - even the JD Robb books, but this mishap of information isn't detouring me from the story. What's catching me is something I learned from an editor before I was ever published and it actually took me a few months after she told me twice.
Awkward scenes -- scenes that aren't complete, finished, can make the transition to the next one rough. I'm seeing this a-plenty so far. I'm wondering why a seasoned author would do this.
I know she once told me to 'never let anyone tell me I can't write the way I do' and that holds for her as well. However, she's changed her writing after all these years. Why?
I can't begin to answer that question and I won't stop reading her books, but please Nora, return to the writing power you once held.
Private Scandals is my all time favorite. I own nearly every book she's ever written.

People take a photo and write up a little spiel to make it out to be what it's not, usually giving it a bad turn. It's passed around to their contact list, then around the contact lists of those people and so on. Soon, it's all the rage on the net.
People, these photos are staged and could very well be photoshopped. Get over yourselves and stop passing them around with the negative spiels. No wonder this country is so full of hatred and intollerance.
Many moons ago, I did something that caused press interest and rather than snap photos during the interview, they took me and my family outside, had us hold hands and walk down the sidewalk with the parents gazing adoringly at the kids. Everyone who knew us knew immediately the photo was faked. They had a child between the parents. Mom and dad always walked along holding hands.
In a restaurant where I once worked, they were taking photos of the staff doing their job. Only they didn't walk through the restaurant and take photos at random. They staged the customers, told the server how to stand and what kind of look to wear on their face. The photos looked candid, but they weren't. Other times, yes, photos were taken at random, but generally for menu use and not by the press.
You can like or dislike the person in the photos all you want, but know by passing the spiel around, chances are, you're promoting a lie. Lies hurt people.
I certainly don't want my kids basing their opinions on such people due to these types of emails.
